The main outlet for my writing has been the magazine Current Conservation. In addition to writing (and co-writing) regular articles since 2015, I am also on the editorial board, in particular commissioning and editing pieces for our section aimed at younger readers. Links to the pieces I have written for CC can be found in the drop-down menu from the Writings tab. One of the core elements of CC is combining engaging writing on wildlife and conservation, with extraordinary artwork. The work of some of our incredible artists can be seen in these articles.
Meanwhile, I have written for various other magazines and websites, including being commissioned by several academics to write articles on their work. Links to those that are available open-access are listed below.
Why Being Bold All Comes Down to Evolution (published online for The Conversation in 2016)
Bird-Brained Behaviour: Pheasant Cognition (published online for Current Conservation in 2016)
The Motion of the Seasons (published as a Research Feature on the University of Exeter's website in 2016).
Finally, in 2017 my first children's book was published, based on a day in the life of a family of chestnut-crowned babblers, the species I studied for my PhD. Called Sophie and the Babbler Birds of the Desert, the story is available at this link, or do contact me if you would like a hard copy.
